All wedding-related events from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony & reception are being held within walking distance or a short cab ride from downtown. You will not need to rent a vehicle for the weekend unless you prefer.
Transportation
The Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is located northwest of the downtown. There are several options for getting from the airport to downtown KC. Here is a link to the airport's Ground Transportation Website.
Metro Bus Service: Fare from the airport to downtown, one way $1.50 The buses will run every 30 minutes and it takes almost an hour to make the journey because of the stops, but this is by far the most economical option.
Taxi: Rates are $2.50 plus $2.10 per mile which will be approximately 20 miles - or $45.00
Shuttle Service: SuperShuttle $18.00 per person for up to 10 people in a shared ride van, or $39.00 for a shared ride for up to 3 people per vehicle one way.
Rental Cars: All major rental companies are located at the airport. Take your pick!
